THE FAMILY FRATERNITY |
Welcome to Moose: ~ Membership could be for you!Membership of Moose International is open to both men and women who are over the age of 21 years. There are both men’s and women’s sections, the men’s section being referred to as the “Lodge” and the women’s section as the “Ladies Circle”. Whilst both have their own constitutions, often the meetings are joint, as are almost all of the social activities. Most social events are for all the family and offer a safe environment for children. By being a member of Moose you will become part of a 1.5 million group of people worldwide who support the ideals and purposes of our organisation, these being that the fit and the strong help the young, the sick and the senior members of our organisation as well as helping charitable groups and good causes within our communities. That sounds like a lot of hard work, but be assured it is not, as most of our fund raising events take the form of social activities and events that gives enjoyment to all. With our organisation other than your annual membership subscriptions, you are not required to give any set financial contributions, nor are you required to meet a minimum attendance level (Unless you hold an Office). Support of social events and fund raising activities are encouraged, but you decide what support you want to, or are able, to give. If the thought of being a member might appeal to you, please feel free to contact your local branch. This can be done by clicking on the link to ~ UK Regions ~ you will be welcomed to visit the branch to meet the people and to see for yourself who we are and what we do. For those of you who may live in areas where we have no branches, membership of our organisation is available via our “Lodge of Protection” details of this can be obtained by contacting us using the link at the foot of this page. By being a member you will be able to visit any branch, take advantage of our membership benefits such as use of our member’s hotel at Winscombe in Somerset and the free Vocational guidance course that we offer for members’ children and grand-children. Any enquiry about membership is without obligation and if you should decide that Moose is not for you, then you will not get any further communications from us. So it’s all to gain and nothing to lose ~ it just takes one e-mail or a phone call to start what could be one of the best things you have ever done. |
